Unity Developer at UdeM (2022-2024)
Design, Development and production of educational games in collaboration with Vanier College teachers and professionals.
- Designed games to present the educational material in a fun, interactive and intuitive way.
- Programmed, developed and designed games using Unity, to be distributed on web browsers.
- Communicated and collaborated with experts on the subject matter to make sure the experience was accurate to what was taught in class.
Narrative Designer at Far Owl Studios (2021-2022)
Narrative Designer on upcoming title Ethereal Metropolis. A dark fantasy tactical RPG.
- Analyze and recognize key elements and themes in the pre-established narrative documentation of the project.
- Write and review dialogue between characters based on various situations and relations as required by project leads.
- Append to the pre-existing lore of the project’s narrative setting while respecting the tone and themes of the narrative.
- Create interesting, engaging and exciting ways for players to uncover and experience the game’s story and setting.
Game Developer at Madame ABC (2020)
Game design and programming internship for a browser-based educative children's game in collaboration with a kindergarten.
- Developed several edutainment mini-games conforming with the client’s kindergarten program from top to bottom using the Unity game engine.
- Created art assets for the games, such as 2D sprites, UI elements and 3D models, both for prototyping purposes and for use in the final product.
- Scripted mini-games in their entirety, and assisted over game designers with debugging, coding and optimization of their games.
- Collaborated and coordinated the development process of the project between client, designer/developer and artists.
- Reviewed the developed mini-games conceptually and mechanically with a UX design expert to make sure the games would both be safe, fun, intuitive and effective in their intended purpose to teach children.
- Worked efficiently with versioning software GitKraken to synchronize assets and development progress with the rest of the team.
- Analyze and review feedback received from playtesting session to adapt and modify already completed mini-games as well as upcoming projects to the needs and interests of the target audience.
- Efficiently performed in this position remotely.
Technical Game Designer at YouTouch Games (2019)
Technical game design and level design internship on upcoming strategy game Dum Dum Dinos.
- Reviewed the design of certain mechanics with other game designers involved in the project.
- Designed levels both conceptually and with an in-engine editor and reviewed them with other project members while taking in consideration the purpose and requirements of said levels.
